Prof  XU Rongsheng

Chief Scientist, Chinese Academy of Sciences 

      Working in Network Security Group at Computing Center of the Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences as chief scientist.
      Ph.D  Granted by University of California Santa Cruz, USA (1987).
      Field of expertise is Internet, Software and Computing, current research is focusing on Cyber security and Digital Forensic.
      As a supervisor of PhD and Maser, he has been forming an anti-hacker team for ten years, and servicing great contributions in China.
       He is also a depute of China Experts Committee on Computer Forensic, Chinese Electronic Institute

Prof  Zhang Sutong

China University of Political Science and law (CUPL) 

      Sutong Zhang, the professor of China University of Political Science and law (CUPL), the educational member of  Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE),the member of Chinese Accounting Association.
     
Research Interests: Forensic Accounting, Fraud Audit, Accounting Law, International Accounting, Financial Accounting. Main Academic Achievements: “Consolidated Financial Statements: the Theory and Practice”, “Forensic Accounting Research”, “Forensic Accounting Advanced Textbook”, Research Project: Beijing Philosophy and Social Science, Eleventh Five-Year Plan project (Project Number: 06BaFX016): “Forensic Accounting Litigation Support Research: the Beijing judicial practice as the starting point”. The Ministry of Justice Issues: “Research on Forensic Accounting Systems” (Project Number: 08SFB2027).  

 

 

Mr.Andrew Rosen

ASRData  CEO

      As a Forensic Computer Scientist, Andrew Rosen offers unique litigation support services to the Legal, Law Enforcement and Investigative communities.

With over a decade of experience in the recovery of computer data and forensic examination (computer forensics), Rosen regularly provides expert testimony in federal and state courts - notably, Rosen was the head forensic examiner in the Enron Case. Along with training attorneys and law enforcement officials in computer investigation techniques, Rosen frequently speaks and writes on emerging matters in the field.

In summary, Rosen has a worldwide reputation for developing cutting-edge computer crime investigative tools (notably as the original author of "Expert Witness" (which later became EnCase) and as the author of "SMART for Linux"), and is frequently consulted by other professionals in the industry. 

 

Mr.Jon Hanson

Vice-President of Sales & Training, H-11 Digital Forensics

     Jon is a computer specialist with over twenty-five years of experience in computer technologies, including, digital computer forensics, network intrusion, large-scale deployment, and training on various computer hardware and software platforms.  Jon has been involved with defining and developing security policies and techniques for safeguarding computer information and fraud prevention. 
      Jon joined H-11 to be able to provide complete digital forensics solutions.  H-11 Digital Forensics offers a ‘One-stop-Solution’ for digital forensic hardware, software, training and professional services.
      Prior to joining H-11 Digital Forensics, Jon was the Director of Training and then Vice-President of Sales for AccessData – a leading provider of digital forensic and e-Discovery software.  He is also the former Microsoft Regional Director for the State of Utah and has represented many companies as a consultant and liaison facilitator including Microsoft, WordPerfect, Lotus Corporation, and Digital Electronic Corporation (DEC).
     

 

Mr.John (Zeke) Thackray

Principle Director, Thackray Forensics Ltd

     John (Zeke) Thackray is a the Principle Director of Thackray Forensics Ltd, a New Zealand based company that provides professional computer and cell phone forensic investigative solutions and training around the world.  Zeke, as he is more commonly known throughout the industry, is a former British Police Detective who specialized in high tech crime from the early 1990's.  He was responsible for the establishment and development of the New Zealand Police Electronic Crime Unit based in Auckland.  He has also been responsible for the establishment of corporate computer forensic facilities such as Ernst and Young in Australia and IBM Global IT Security Incident Response Group.  Zeke has been involved in many high-tech, high profile investigations around the world and has delivered computer and cell phone forensics training globally for many years.  Zeke considers himself an investigator first and an educator second.  Hands-on investigating is a primary key to be able to train investigators how to deal with real solutions.

 

 

Mr.Eddie Schwartz  

Chief Security Officer of NetWitness, PMP, CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISSEP

 

      Mr. Schwartz is Chief Security Officer of NetWitness and has 25 years experience in the information technology and information security and privacy fields.  Previously, he was Chief Technology Officer of ManTech Security Technologies Corporation, EVP and General Manager for Global Integrity, SVP of Operations at Guardent, CISO for Nationwide Insurance; and as a Senior Computer Scientist at CSC where he was Technical Director of the DSS Information Security Laboratory for the U.S. Department of State.   Mr. Schwartz is the VP/Treasurer of the National Capital Chapter of the ISSA, and has served on the Board of Directors for Secured Services, Inc. and InfoSec (JP), the Executive Committee for the Banking Information Technology Secretariat (BITS) of the Financial Services Roundtable and the Board of Advisors for numerous security start-ups.  Mr. Schwartz has a B.I.S. in Information Security Management and an M.S. in Information Technology Management from the George Mason University School of Management.

 

Mr.Anthony Fung  

Senior Regional Investigation Manager (APAC) , Microsoft Corp.

 

      Mr. Anthony was a one of the founding members of the Technology Crime Division in the HK Police Force (where he served for 13 distinguished years), and is credited with helping to shape the capability of the Force in combating the emerging threats of IT Crime.
      He holds a Master degree in Internet Computing, and certified in Microsoft Certified System Engineering (MCSE), Computer Forensics and Computer Crime Investigation.  He is also the vice president of High Tech Crime Investigation Assoc. (HTCIA).  He has given lectures in Universities regarding computer security, and presentations to government departments and large corporations in the areas of computer security and Threat Assessments. 
      In 2004, Anthony joined Microsoft tasked with building an effective internet investigation capability in the Asia Pacific Region. In doing so, Anthony has been instrumental in helping Microsoft build several programs aimed at bridging the divide between the corporate world and law enforcement.

Mr.Eric K. Thompson

AccessData , Founder & CTO

      Eric Thompson is responsible for setting the company's strategic direction and leading its growth as a global provider of computer forensics, cryptography and password recovery software and services. An award-winning expert on the topic of encryption, decryption, and computer forensics, Eric Thompson has presented research on cryptography and code breaking to Congress. He has also worked with the DoD and was recognized for his code breaking expertise that led to the largest drug arrest in Bolivian history. He is a frequent guest instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and at High Tech Criminal Investigation Association (HTCIA) events. Thompson is an honorary lifetime member of the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS).

 

Mr.Paul Reedy

Australian Federal Police

      Paul Reedy was named Manager Forensic Operations in April 2007.  He has responsibilities for the Australian Federal Police Crimes Scenes Sciences, Biological Criminalistics, Chemical Criminalistics, Document Examination, Firearms Identification and Armoury, Fingerprints, Specialist Imaging and Computer Forensic Teams.

    In 2002, the lure of forensic science and especially the new field of computer forensic drew Paul’s attention back to working in law enforcement.  He has seen the team grow from 7 people to now approaching 40 people across Australia and it is heavily involved in every significant operation the AFP has conducted in that time.  Paul has enjoyed the very challenging field of computer forensics and is looking forward to continue to guide and shape the field as it develops, both in Australia and internationally. 

 

Mr.Ricci Ieong

      Ricci Ieong (M.Phil, CISSP, ISSAP, ISSMP, CISA, F.ISFS, CEH) is the founder and Principal
Security Consultant of eWalker Consulting Limited. Prior the foundation of eWalker Consulting Ltd in 2005, Ricci had over 10 years experience in IT Security industry. In 2000, Ricci joined Hewlett Packard Consulting & Integration group and founded the first HP e-Security Center (also known as Penetration Test Center) in Hong Kong. He was frequently invited as instructor in computer security and digital forensics trainings by various organizations including Hong Kong Police Force. He is also the founding member and council member of the Information Security and Forensics Society (ISFS) in Hong Kong.

 

 

Mr.BJ Gleason  

University of Maryland, University College, Asian Division

 

    BJ Gleason is a Ph.D. candidate in Information Science at Nova Southeastern University and currently working as a System Administrator for Group W, under contract to the U.S. military in Korea. Mr. Gleason has taught undergraduate computer science courses at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and The American University in Washington, DC, and is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor with the Asian Division of the University of Maryland, University College, in Seoul.
