The 6th Annual China Computer Forensics
Conference & Exhibition (CCFC 2010) will be held in
Beijing, China from 28 June to 2 July 2010. The
event is being co-organized and sponsored by the China
Computer Forensic Research Center and the Information
Security & Forensics Society (ISFS) Hong Kong
Chapter.
The
annual CCFC event is unquestionably acknowledged as the
preeminent digital forensic conference in China.
The goal of the CCFC organizers is to host a world-class
annual gathering of Chinese and foreign industry
professionals and researchers with the aim of
facilitating the development of advanced computer
forensic technology both domestically and abroad.
The conference also provides attendees the opportunity
to share case studies and technical skills, as well as
develop new contacts with fellow computer forensic
practitioners, law enforcement professionals and
industry experts. The previous five CCFC events have all
been extremely successful and have significantly
contributed to the development of computer forensic
technologies in China. Previous event topics have
focused on developing forensic laws, legislation and
regulations, data recovery, data-mining and integration,
evidence preservation, data acquisition, data analysis
and mobile device
forensics.
Having taken into consideration several recent new
product releases and digital forensic technology
advancements internationally -- as well as increasing
domestic demands -- the CCFC 2010 format has been
expanded to enable sufficient focus on new technologies,
meet existing training demands, and realize better
cooperation with international forensic institutions and
law enforcement
agencies.
The CCFC events have always been well attended by
members of the China law enforcement community.
And beginning in 2007, CCFC has seen a yearly increase
in attendance by Chinese researchers, information
security professionals, as well as practitioners from
the fields of finance, education, business consulting
and investigation, and foreign forensic experts and
scholars from many countries and regions. What
began as a domestic meeting of computer forensic
professionals has gradually grown to become the most
significant annual event on computer and digital
forensic technologies in China -- and perhaps all of
Asia. (Note: Average attendance at the past 3 CCFC
events has been between 300-350 participates with an
annual increase of participates each year. We
expect a similar increase in attendance this
year.)
For CCFC 2010, the organizers have increased the number
of training workshops to better provide the participants
the opportunity to fully learn new skills and
technologies, acquire high-level and practical
techniques, and to meet and network with international
instructors, forensic investigators and industry
professionals.
The rapid development of computer and cell phone science
and technology has resulted in an alarming increase in
the number of computer-related crimes. This
situation urgently demands increased forensic research
and development, new and appropriate legal regulation
and procedures, the continual enhancement of skills and
practices for digital forensic examiners, technicians,
analysts and investigators.
We are
certain the 2010 China Computer Forensics Conference
will have a far-reaching impact on the development of
China's computer forensic technology. We invite
you to join us at what promises to be the most
educational and productive digital forensics event in
Asia in
2010!
CCFC
2010 will include the following two key
activities:
Day One (28 June
2010) Keynote Presentations: 09:30-17:30
CCFC 2010 has invited some
of the most well-known practitioners in IT Security,
Computer Investigations, and Forensics management.
The keynote presentations will all take place in the
main conference hall. The day will consist of
several presentations and live product
demonstrations. The speakers will deliver new
material on a wide variety of topics. This portion of
the conference will not only be an excellent opportunity
to hear from leading global experts, but will also an
excellent networking opportunity.
Day Two - Day Five
(29 June-2 July 2010) Hands-On Training Workshops:
09:30-18:00
Workshop Track 1 and
Workshop Track 2 will be held in a hands-on lab
environment. Leading digital forensic
practitioners from Russia, Canada, China, Germany, New
Zealand and the United States have been carefully
selected and invited to provide maximum training
opportunities on cutting-edge subjects and technologies.
The topics include MacForensics, Mobile Device
Forensics, Password Recovery, Network Forensics, and
Data Analysis.
The Keynote Presentation
session will be free of charge for all CCFC 2010
attendees. Attendees may choose their favorite
topic(s) at any day covering interesting and technology
updates. A reasonable fee (USD350) will be charged
for the attending the Training Workshops (the fee is
primarily used to pay for venue room rental fees and
lunch).
Attendees may attend any
track they wish, and during registration can specify the
labs and lectures that they wish to attend in order of
priority. Due to restricted seating in the labs,
places will be allocated on a first-come first-served
basis, so it is recommended to register
early!
