Dr. K.P.Chow
Associate Professor,

Dr. K.
P. Chow is the Associate Professor of Department of
Computer Science and the Associate Director of the
Center for Information Security and Cryptography at The
University of Hong Kong. Dr. Chow’s areas of
research interest are computer forensics, cryptography,
computer security, Internet surveillance and
privacy. He was the chief designer of the computer
forensic tool Digital Evidence Search Kit (DESK).
Dr. Chow
has been working on the Internet piracy monitoring
system Lineament, which is adopted by HKSAR Customs and
Excise Department in 2007. He has also published
research papers on computer forensics, data security and
cryptography in local and international conferences and
journals. Dr. Chow has analyzed various data
leakage cases in Hong Kong, which includes the IPCC case
in 2006, the Foxy/Edison cases and the Yahoo case in
2008. Findings and results were presented in local
seminars and international conferences with participants
from legal and IT professions. In 2009, Dr. Chow
was the honoree in the category of Senior IT Security
Professional of the 3rd Annual Asia-Pacific Information
Security Leadership Achievements Program.
Dr. Chow has been a member of the Program Committee of
the international computer forensic workshop SADFE
(Systematic Approaches to Digital Forensic Engineering)
in 2005 and 2007. He was the conference chairman
of the Sixth IFIP WG 11.9 International Conference on
Digital Forensics to be held in 2010 in Hong Kong.
From 2010, Dr. Chow is the Chairman of the Information
Security and Forensics Society (ISFS). Dr. Chow is
also a committee member of the IT Division, Hong Kong
Institutions of Engineers, and a council member of the
Hong Kong Forensics Science Society. In the past
few years, Dr. Chow has been invited to be a computer
forensic expert to assist the Court in Hong
Kong.

Law
1st Vice President, High Technology Crime Investigation
Association (HTCIA) AP Chapter
Frank has been working in the
Hong Kong Police Force since 1998, and has been involved
in technology crime related policing since 2001.
After promotion in 2009 to Chief Inspector, Frank took
over as head of the Support Section for the Technology
Crime Division, in charge of three teams concerning the
areas of technology crime training, cyber intelligence
& research as well as technology crime
prevention. Outside of the Hong Kong Police Force,
he is the current 1st Vice President of the High
Technology Crime Investigation Association Asia Pacific
Chapter.
Frank has been responsible for
facilitating IT crime investigation and computer
forensics training programs on behalf of the Interpol
Asia South Pacific Working Party on IT Crime, and has
led regional training programs in Korea, Japan,
Australia, Thailand and Fiji. He has
also
delivered presentations at numerous
international computer crime related
conferences. In 2009, he has been awarded
with the "Information Security Leadership Award" by
(ISC)2 in reorganization of his outstanding leadership
and achievements in workforce improvement of information
security professionals in the Asia-Pacific
region.
Frank is a CISSP and holds a
Bachelor degree in Engineering, a Postgraduate Diploma
in Computer Forensics and a Master degree in Internet
Computing. He is currently a part-time Ph.D.
student with the Department of Computer Science,
University of Hong Kong and is one of the key members of
the Computer Forensics Research Group. His research
interests include live systems forensics, digital
forensics and digital timestamp analysis.

Fleischmann

Stefan
Fleischmann serves as Chief Executive Officer of X-Ways
Software Technology AG, a German stock corporation
operated from Cologne. Stefan originally started a
software development business (sole proprietorship) in
2000 while being a student at the University of Master.
He received the German equivalent of a Master's degree
in Information Systems in 2001. While working for
Micronas, a semiconductor company where he trained
employees internationally in SAP software, he started
X-Ways corporation in April 2002 and concentrated on the
computer forensics aspect of his software WinHex.
In
2004, the forensic edition of that software, X-Ways
Forensics, was released, and Stefan expanded the
business into the computer forensics training field. He
personally trains law enforcement officers and private
sector forensic examiners in the USA and Germany,
including federal government personnel in both
countries, and supervises and participates in continued
development of the company's software. With more than
32,000 clients worldwide, X-Ways Software Technology
considers itself the leading supplier of computer
forensics software in Europe. Stefan is also an
associate member of IACIS (International Association of
Computer Investigative Specialists). His Chinese
name is 史德凡.

(Zeke) Thackray

John
(Zeke) Thackray is a the Principle Director of Thackray
Forensics Ltd, a New Zealand based company that provides
professional computer and cell phone forensic
investigative solutions and training around the
world. Zeke, as he is more commonly known
throughout the industry, is a former British Police
Detective who specialized in high tech crime from the
early 1990's. He was responsible for the
establishment and development of the New Zealand Police
Electronic Crime Unit based in Auckland. He has
also been responsible for the establishment of corporate
computer forensic facilities such as Ernst and Young in
Australia and IBM Global IT Security Incident Response
Group. Zeke has been involved in many high-tech,
high profile investigations around the world and has
delivered computer and cell phone forensics training
globally for many years. Zeke considers himself an
investigator first and an educator second.
Hands-on investigating is a primary key to be able to
train investigators how to deal with real
solutions.

Paul Reedy
was named Manager Forensic Operations in April
2007. He
has responsibilities for the Australian Federal Police
Crimes Scenes Sciences, Biological Criminalistics,
Chemical Criminalistics, Document Examination, Firearms
Identification and Armoury, Fingerprints, Specialist
Imaging and Computer Forensic Teams.
In
2002, the lure of forensic science and especially the
new field of computer forensic drew Paul’s attention
back to working in law enforcement. He has seen the
team grow from 7 people to now approaching 40 people
across Australia and it is heavily involved in every
significant operation the AFP has conducted in that
time. Paul
has enjoyed the very challenging field of computer
forensics and is looking forward to continue to guide
and shape the field as it develops, both in
Australia and
internationally.
